- Description
- The USDA, ARS has a requirement for installation of HVAC system in building 167 at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) Beltsville, Maryland. Project to be completed within 75 days of notice to proceed. The order of magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is solicited under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR Subpart 19.10) as a total Hub Zone set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 with a small business standard of $12.0 million average annual receipts for the past 3 years. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) using procedures from FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the terms of the IFB and is most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price related factors. The solicitation (02-3k47-05) will be available to interested parties through electronic data interchange only. A site visit is scheduled for January 12, 2005 10:30 a.m., meeting in front of Building 167 BARC-East, Beltsville, Maryland. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about December 31, 2004. The Internet address is http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Notification of any changes (amendments) to this solicitation shall be made via the Internet only. Interested parties must download the solicitation and all corresponding amendments. Please be advised that any subsequent amendments to this solicitation shall be posted at the same website without further notice. All offerors are responsible for the complete solicitation package and any subsequent amendments. Bids will be due on or before January 31, 2005 at 10:00a.m. (EST) A public bid opening will be held. A bid bond will also be required. The Government strongly recommends that contractors bidding on this project visit the site. All responsible contractors may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Anticipated award date is February 6, 2005.
