Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to purchase additional quanities by sole source delivery orders issued against contract M67854-04-D-5016 with Oshkosh Truck Corporation (OTC), Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) family of vehicles. Contract M67854-04-D-5016 is the follow-on contract to contract DAAE07-99-C-M007. This contract is a firm-fixed-price requirements contract and is the final buyout of the MTVR family of vehicles. This notice covers quanities for the restoration of equipment lost in combat operations, the recapitalization of equipment used in operations, the equipping of units supporting upcoming rotations, and personnel/vehicle protection (armor). The MTVR is a cost-effective, commercially based state-of-the-art vehicle system, with greater mobility, lift, and RAM-D than the Marine Corps medium fleet of trucks. The MTVR vehicle is the primary direct support tactical wheeled vehicle to transport personnel; ammun! ition; towed weapons; break-bulk cargo; packaged/bulk petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) and water; engineer equipment; communications and telephone maintenance equipment; dimensionally standard containers; remotely-piloted vehicles; and commercial ISO containers. The MTVR family of vehicles consists of several variants that include a Standard Wheel Base Cargo Truck, an Extra Long Wheel Base Cargo Truck, and Dump, Wrecker and Tractor Variants. It is anticipated that the vehicles, both with and without armor will be ordered during the 4th quarter of FY05. Additional quantities may be ordered under the contract through FY09.
