- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for fuels management services to accomplish the following: The Dutch Gulch Stewardship project outside of Gunnison, Colorado will utilize commercial forest thinning services in which the contractor will complete the following: Develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. The Treatment Plan and Schedule will be agreed upon by both parties and incorporated into the contract. All changes to the Treatment Plan will be agreed to prior to the changes taking effect. The period of performance will begin on or about October 1, 2005 and continue for no more than sixteen months. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This solicitation will be available on or about July 12, 2005. A pre-proposal site tour will be held on July 20, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Participants will meet at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Gunnison Field Office, 216 N. Colorado St., Gunnison, CO. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors planning to attend the site visit tour shall contact Jodi Bauman, (970) 642-4453 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise her of the firm's name and number of persons that will attend. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Contractors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered eligible for award.
