- Mustang Ridge Campground Reconstruction ? Mustang Ridge Campground is a large, 73 unit campground. The project consists of about 14,800 square feet of 2 inch thick hot bituminous asphalt paving for several new campground spurs, some existing campground spur lengthening and widening, and for repairing waterline cuts. The project also consists of a Type ll slurry seal on all campground spurs, pullouts and roadways. The approximate area to receive a slurry seal is 230,000 square yards. The project is located at Mustang Ridge Campground on the Flaming Gorge National Recreation area. The campground location is about 42 miles north from Vernal, UT and 2 miles northwest of Dutch John, UT by way of US Highway 191. At the junction of US highway 191 and the Mustang Ridge Road (Forest route # 184) take the Mustang Ridge road southwest about 2 miles to Mustang Ridge campground. There is a Show Me Trip scheduled for August 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mustang Ridge Campground. This project will be uploaded into FedBizopps approximately July 21, 2005.*******
