Description

Amendment A001 is issued to the above-mentioned Request For Quote (RFQ) to furnish answers to questions submitted by prospective offerors. Q.1. What are the estimated quantities by item? A.1. The estimated monthly quantities by items are as follows: 695 Towels, 95 Bath mats, 515 Hand Towels, 268 Dish Towels, 664 Wash cloths, 472 Sheets, 368 Pillowcases, 207 Aprons, 12 Bedspreads, 129 Blankets and 7 Tablecloths. Q.2. Is Saturday and/or Sunday available for pickup and delivery? A.2. Saturday and Sunday are not available for laundry pickup or delivery. Q.3. Is turnaround time always one week or can that be shortened by who and for what reasons? A.3. Turnaround time is typically a week. Shorter times are at the contractors discretion. However, linens must be returned one week after pickup. Q.4. Will laundry be marked by FEMA or will the contractor provide identification mechanism? All laundry is unmarked by FEMA. The contractor will be responsible for tracking laundry. Q.5. Is CCR registration mandatory? A.5. Central Contractor Registration is mandatory. Reference 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration. Q.6. Does the driver have to be a US citizen and undergo a background investigation? A.6. All drivers must be a US citizen.
