- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (W15P7T-05-Q-B507) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only s olicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-04 dated 8 June 2005 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, 1998 edition, current to DCN 20050621. This solicitation i s being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The NAICS Code is 541519 and this solicitation is not a set aside. The proposed effort is for a performance based, firm fixed price contract for the following items: CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AA: 4 each Mobile Op erational Maintenance for Secure OfficeŽ Trusted Workstation" (one year); CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AB 2 each Mobile Operational Maintenance for Secure OfficeŽ Webshield" (one year); CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AC 4 each Mobile Operational Maintenance for Secure OfficeŽ T rusted Gateway" (one year); CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AD: 2 each Mobile Operational Maintenance for Secure OfficeŽ Trusted Releaser" (one year); CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AE: 4 each Maintenance for Virus Scanning Plug-in(one year); CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AF: 16 each Trusted Solaris 8 7/03 Operating System, Desktop (1-2 CPU), SPARC, Certified Edition; CLIN/SLIN 0001/0001AG: 4 each Trusted Solaris 8 7/03 Maintenance Desktop SPARC, Standard (one year). The proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria in the orde r of importance: 1. Maintenance to include updates and patches which must be compatible with Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS) software licenses currently in place and a help desk and 2. Cost of providing the maintenance. The performance of the contract wi ll be rated based upon the reasonable availability of help desk personnel during normal business hours (EST) and a reasonable acknowledgement to trouble reports. Failure to provide these items 3 or more times per month on 3 consecutive months will be caus e for termination of the contract. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be a sole source award to Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), 2350 Corporate Park Drive, Herndon, VA 20171-4848 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304( c)(1). Only One Responsible Source, as implemented by FAR 6.30 2-1(a)(1). Although TCS has authorized resellers for the software product licenses, TCS has not authorized any known alternative sources or contract vehicles for TCS maintenance of their software licenses.
