DESC: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Schick Technologies Inc. to provide the following items UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302: Item Name: Computerized Imaging, X-Ray System The computerized Imaging X-Ray System CDR Imaging System includes: 0001 Sensor Size 2, Part Number B1204050 - 0002 Universal Holder Set, Size 2, Part Number B1073061 ? 0003 Universal Serial Bus Remote, Part Number B2202100 ? 0004 Universal Serial Bus Cable (5,47 yds), Part Number A1111300 ? 0005 CDR Dicon Software (Single User with guide), Part Number B1030057 ? 0006 Sheaths, Part Number B1070009. The system must utilize and electronic sensor instead of x-ray film. X-ray images must be able to be manipulated with a wide variety of built in processing tools, annotated with clinical comments, and saved on disk for electronic transfers by modem or long-term archival storage. The underexposed radiographs must be able to be corrected so accurate calibrated measurements can be taken. The software must be compatible with the CDRCAM Intraoral Camera. Name of Contractor: Schick Technologies Inc. 33-00 47th Ave 5th Floor Long Island, NY 11101-1345 The value of the contract is expected to be under $150,000.00. The items that are requested are the only items that meet the Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) standard at this point in time for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1 Para: 4. The anticipated award date is July 15, 2005. Interested persons may express their interest and demonstrate their capability, furnishing detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient for the Government to determine that a comparable source is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror?s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider all EOIs received prior to 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis before 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to: Regional Contracting Office Southwest Attn: Sgt Shawn J. Himes Box 1609 Oceanside CA 92051 EOIs sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to: Regional Contracting Office Southwest Bldg# 22180 Camp Pendleton CA 92051 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EOIs may be submitted via facsimile to Attn: Sgt Shawn J. Himes at (760) 725-8445. The facsimile transmission must clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received.
