- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control, Strategic National Stockpile contemplates the award of a 12 month contract for the development of a computer software application, user documentation, user training materials, as well as training sessions to be used by states preparing for bioterrorist attack. This system will assist state and local representatives plan an manage supply chain operations at the various Receipt Staging and Storage facilities. The software program will enable planners to define a bioterror response scenario, measure effectiveness of strategies and resource decisions, and evaluate the robustness of the overall design plan. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
