- Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is considering a Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution contract. The resulting indefinite quantity contract will be in effect for one year with an option to extend the term of the contract to a maximum of nine additional one-year option periods. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards if it is in the Government's best interest. The Government will award the contract(s) to the offeror(s) who is the best overall value on the basis of its offer and its capability to perform the work. The resulting solicitation will represent a Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs joint contracting initiative for a Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution Contract. The purpose of this initiative is to establish a national contract with a reverse distributor capable of assisting DoD and DVA facilities throughout the world to maximize credit returns, while remaining in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to pharmaceutical and hazardous waste handling. The anticipated solicitation issue date is 22 July 2005. The solicitation, once issued, will be posted on the DLA Procurement Gateway website, http://progate.daps.dla.mil . All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by DSCP. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote or Invitation for Bid. The Government is in no way obligated to purchase any services or goods as a result of this notice.
