This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 15, 2005 with a bid opening date of approximately 30 days following issuance. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: REPAIR HISTORIC STONE WALLS, MINUTE MAN NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK, 174 LIBERTY STREET, CONCORD, MASSACHUSETTS. Solicitation Number Q1820050606. The work of this project consists of PERFORMING REHABILITATION WORK ON APPROXIMATELY 13 sections of historic stonewalls at Minute Man National Historical Park, Concord, Massachusetts. There will be two main components to the work: 1) repair of the stonewalls; and 2) removal of vegetation that is damaging the stonewall or obstructing views of stonewalls. There will also be some removal of debris. It is imperative for prospective bidders to visit all areas of the work so as to determine the actual amount of work needed on each stonewall. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated construction range: $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code 235410, with a small business size standard of $12 million. National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price construction contract as a result of this solicitation. This acquisition is subject to P.L.100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, and as such is open to all concerns regardless of size. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes and bidders will be evaluated on: 1) past experience working in an area with well-know historic and cultural resources; 2) demonstrated ability to perform and successful past experience in landscape projects and stonework of equal or great complexity.
