Description

USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL), proposes to issue a sole source award to Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., 1808 136th PL NE, Bellevue, WA 98005-5231, for four (4) seaguage wave and tide reco rders. The gages must conform to the physical dimensions of the existing mounts which accommodate a cylinder of 10cm diameter and 77cm length. The gages must use a quartz oscillator type pressure sensor. This type of sensor is required to meet the near- zero drift requirements for use as a long-term water-level gage. The sensor range must be 0 to 45 psia, optimally suited for shallow water measurements. The gages must be able to acquire both tide and wave samples and have sufficient internal memory to s tore at least 10 million consecutive wave samples. This requirement is directed at minimizing required servicing and associated field operation costs. Anticipated delivery date is approximately 4 weeks after receipt of order. A firm-fixed price award wi ll be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the product is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no s olicitation available at this time.
