- This project is located on the Bass Lake Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest. Work consists of reducing the fuel in precommercial thinning units, releasing conifers from brush competition, and preparing sites for tree planting in tree stands by mechanically clearing and piling slash, vegetation, and other debris. Work shall be done in a manner that does not damage residual trees or vegetation not specified to be treated. Est. Start Date: August 1, 2005. A Limited Operating Period (LOP)exists in the Ryan project area. The solicitation will address specifics. Est. Contract Time: 129 days.
