Description

DITCO intends to issue a modification to the current contract HC1047-04-C-4028 to obtain additional on-site engineering and technical support. This modification will enable engineering of and implementation of improved, more granular, DISA-specific, custom business logic into the Analyst Workstation (AW) Security Information Manager (SIM). This business logic will enable the AW to more accurately and appropriately categorize, prioritize, and correlate computer attack data generated by both Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and proprietary DOD attack sensors in accordance with DISA?s unique NetDefense Facility Concept of Operations (CONOPS). In addition, the modification will enable engineering required to integrate the SIM with DISA?s existing proprietary in-house developed attack incident tracking, analysis, and reporting system, the DOD Computer Emergency Response Team Incident Database (DCID), and to meet other new attack data reporting requirements. This contract modification will also provide DISA with on-site SIM maintenance, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery and will allow other DOD users of the SIM to receive this same type of support. This requirement must be operationalized 30 Sep 05, and the additional services specified by this contract modification are required in order to achieve acceptable operational functionality from the SIM. The original contract was competitively awarded in Jan 2004 for one year with three 1-year options.
