Description

The IRS intends to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) for electronic asset locator services and batch processing services. The electronic asset locator service shall consist of an online research package that must include law enforcement databases. It is anticipated that one contract will be awarded for the electronic asset locator service and that a separate contract may be awarded for the batch processing package. The period of performance will consist of a base year and four one-year option periods. The contemplated contract type is Firm Fixed Price (FFP)/Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). This procurement will be conducted as a full and open competition under FAR Part 12--ACQUISITION OF COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The anticipated date of RFP release is December 1, 2004. The RFP may be downloaded from the IRS internet site by going to WWW.IRS.GOV, scrolling down to the bottom of the webpage and clicking on the "Business Opportunities" link. Individual copies of the solicitation will not be issued. All questions or concerns regarding this synopsis must be submitted via email or in writing, no telephone calls please.
