Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform exterior and interior renovation and repairs, and construction of a new addition at the existing historic residence at 26 S. Williams Street, Dayton, Ohio. The work includes selective exterior demolition, reconstruction of the exisiting front porch, wood window restoration, new operable shutters, repointing foundation and chimney, repair of siding, new wood shingle roof, sewer and water upgrades, and painting entire building exterior. Interior work includes selective demolition, new gypsum board, repair and refinish wood flooring, new stairway, new restroom, new cabinets, wood frame and door refinishing, ceramic tile, new insulation, painting entire interior, new power and lighting systems, new plumbing and HVAC and fire protection systems. The new addition will be a 284 sq.ft. to the east side of the 2 story building, replacing the smaller existing shed roof structure. The new addition will be CMU/stone faced foundation, crawl space, 2 x 4 perimeter walls with wood lap siding, wood truss roof structure with wood shingle roof. The performance period is 10 months after issuance of notice to proceed including a winter shutdown period. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, and wage rates will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 7, 2005.
