- Presolicitation Notice - - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue IFB-NCR-0079 for the project entitled Infrastructure Improvements at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Sandstone, Minnesota. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract. The successful contractor will be required to, among other things, construct a new vehicle maintenance building, new fence, rear sallyport, and infrastructure. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The solicitation will be available on/about July 11, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The opening date/time for invitation for bids is on/about August 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. local time, at FCI Sandstone. The NAICS is 236220 and the size standard is $28,500,000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Numbered Note 1 applies.
