- Description
- The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), intends to procure services for providing and installing two new Fiberglass Seawater Tanks. The contractor shall provide the material, labor, equipment, and administration to perform the work, which include: Providing, installing, and connecting two new 28,700 gallon fiberglass tanks, approximately 25 feet high by 14 feet in diameter; Tanks shall be manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of industry specifications ASTM D3299 and ASTM D4097; Tanks must have a flat bottom and a curved top; Tank nozzles shall be fabricated using the hand lay-up contact molding method and shall meet or exceed ASTM 4097 and PS15-69 as applicable. Resins used for the nozzles are to be the same as the resins used for the vessels to insure maximum corrosion resistance. Tank accessories such as hold downs, lift lugs, ladder clips, etc. shall be as specified on the Engineering Design and Detail Sheet, (provided in the request for quotation (RFQ)); Tanks must be constructed per Engineering Design and Detail sheet and contain the items listed under clarifications. Location and details of the existing and new tanks and the stairways and walkways will be provided in sketches in RFQ. Contractor must provide a set of approval drawings of the new tanks, stairway and walkway and a schedule showing demolition, delivery and installation within a specified timeframe. The period of performance is 120 calendar days. This procurement is being made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The Davis-Bacon labor rates for the Galveston, Texas area are applicable to this procurement. This is a total small?business set-aside. NAICS code 332420 applies. The resultant procurement action will be firm-fixed price. The Central Region Acquisitions Division requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisitions Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR.
