- This project involves reconditioning of a total of 9.0 miles of 16 foot wide single lane road with turnouts. The work includes mobilization, grading D crushed aggregate base, reconditioning, pit development, erosion control, seeding and fertilizing. There are options for furnishing and placing aggregate in a stockpile at an existing site and additional road reconditioning of 4.10 miles of 16 foot wide single lane road with turnouts. The project areas are located on the Mitkof Island road system, southeast of the town of Petersburg, in Southeast Alaska. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance time will be 381 days from the notice to proceed. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 8, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-05-0015. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
