- (9773) This firm-fixed-price project involves reconditioning of roadbed, installing or replacing culverts, and placing crushed aggregate from mileposts 0.00 to 5.82 on National Forest System Road 21. It also involves two options for similar work from mileposts 5.82 to 12.00 and from mileposts 12.00 to 17.40. The project area is located in the Craig Ranger District of the Tongass National Forest (on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska), starts at the intersection of National Forest System Road 21 (Polk Inlet Road) with National Forest System Road 20 (Hydaburg Road), and ends at the Marine Access Facility (MAF) at Polk Inlet. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period is 360 calendar days. A written solicitation numbered will be issued. The solicitation (Invitation for Bids is anticipated) will be posted on FedBizOpps website for viewing and printing on or after July 8, 2005. Potential offerors must obtain the solicitation from the Internet. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date, and award may occur approximately 30 days thereafter. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR Subpart 19.10) applies.
