Description

General Services Administration, Public Building Service, Greater Southwest Region (Region 7), intends to conduct two streamlined competition studies of mechanical maintenance services performed in the following locations: Study GSAPBS200519. Austin, TX. Study GSAPBS200518. Little Rock and Helena, AR and Lufkin, TX. These streamlined studies shall be conducted in accordance with the instructions set forth in OMB Circular A-76 (Rev. 5/29/03). Maintenance services in Austin, TX are currently being performed by 1 employee. Maintenance services in Little Rock, AR are currently being performed by 3 employees. Services performed in Helena, AR and Lufkin, TX are performed by 1 employee in each location. Maintenance services performed at the above locations included heating, ventilating and air conditioning; low voltage electrical; and minor plumbing. The designated Competitive Sourcing Official for this activity is Susan G. Marshall, GSA, CSO, the contracting officer is Judi Grossman, and the Agency Tender Official is James S. Weller, Assistant Regional Administration, Greater Southwest Region. The start date for these studies is June 22, 2005 with a completion date of September 20, 2005. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITION. IT IS A SPECIAL NOTICE. NO SOLICITATION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED, AND PROPOSALS ARE THEREFORE ARE NOT REQUESTED. Prospective offerors are advised that a solicitation shall not be issued if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel.
