Description
This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a Request For Proposal and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking contractors that can repair/refurbish all refrigeration systems and air conditioning systems manufactured by York for submarine use, and provide the repair parts (hardware/software) to do so. On a case-by-case basis the Navy will provide GFM from the stock system. Normally the contractor must supply their own rigging, welding/brazing, Freon recovery, and nitrogen purging services. The ship's force will recover Freon, before the contractor cuts into the Freon piping, into the ship's receivers only. Contractor personnel must be US Citizens cleared at the Confidential level for work aboard a naval nuclear submarine. Work to be accomplished at Naval Submarine Base, Point Loma, San Diego, CA. SWRMC is contemplating a basic ordering agree! ment. The applicable NAICS code is 336611 Ship Building and Repair. Interested contractors should submit a capabilities statement (not to exceed five pages) that demonstrates their capability to perform the services described herein. The capabilities statement shall include company name, address, small business status (small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned), and point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm. The capabilities statement should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to your firm, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, a description of the relevant corporate experience gained, and a customer POC.
