Description

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia has a requirement for an offshore interceptor vessel. The vessel shall have a maximum overall length of 35 feet, minimum beam of 10 feet, maximum draft of 24 inches, hull design of deep ?V? with minimum of 24.5 degree deadrise, minimum fuel capacity of 300 gallons, and maximum horsepower rating of 500 HP. The vessel shall be utilized in a training environment requiring extensive offshore operations under adverse weather conditions. The vessel shall be constructed primarily of fiberglass. The hull shall be manufactured in such a way to provide superior strength to weight ratio. The vessel must not employ wood construction in the upper deck. Additional specifications shall be contained in the solicitation. The vessel shall be rigged with twin 250 HP counter rotating four stroke outboard motors. The outboard motors shall have no special requirements for periodic maintenance or repairs and shall meet or exceed 2006 EPA requirements for marine outboards. The vessel will be rigged with dual engine control box, platinum control cables, RPM, water temperature, water pressure and voltage gauges and digital fuel management system. This requirement is set-aside for Small Business concerns. The NAICS code is 336612; size standard is 500 employees. All potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration System.
