Description
The Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) requires occupational health services for approximately 6500 employees and other personnel associated with DSCC. DSCC is a 500-acre Federal enclave located at 3990 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43218-3990. Of these 6500 employees, approximately 250 are in the occupational medical surveillance program. The Government requires the staffing of two (2) Nurse’s Stations locatd at DSCC and the services of an Occupational Health Physician (OHP) located off-site but within a six (6)-mile radius of DSCC. All medical staff servicing this contract (including clinics, laboratories, technicians, medical facility staff, and practitioners) shall possess qualifications derived from an accredited learning institution and be appropriately licensed in the State of Ohio. The Occupational Health Nurses (OHNs) (RNs ) must have at least two years of full time occupational health nursing experience (i.e., nursing work responsibilities that required knowledge of the medical requirements in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and counseling individuals in health topics and familiarity with issues related to work place hazards.) Each OHN will receive at least (8) hours of continuing education annually and be licensed in the State of Ohio. The Occupational Health Physician (OHP) shall have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree) (DO) and be licensed in the State of Ohio. The OHP shall be certified by The American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total shall not exceed five years.
