- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, intends to award an indefinite delivery – indefinite quantity type contract with a time and material and firm fixed price pricing arrangement to Schilling Robotics of Davis, CA. The contractor will provide engineering, fabrication and testing services required to support various tasks related to the design, development and systems integration of unique, state-of-the-art underwater thruster systems and related subsystems. Technical areas of support include hydrodynamics, acoustic quieting, underwater instrumentation, electronic circuitry, control systems, corrosion, materials, packaging, power systems, remotely-operated vehicle technology, in-ocean deployment and retrieval systems, system software/firmware and system integration. The estimated period of performance is two years. This effort is a follow-on to contract N66001-04-C- 5036 with Schilling Robotics. Use of any other contractor would result in substantial duplication of costs and delays for the Government based on the specialized knowledge and experience acquired by Schilling Robotics under the prior contract. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. See notes 22 and 26.
