- Description
- Force Protection Improvements: A pre-fabricated "Gate House" shall be erected with standing seam metal roofs matching existing nearby structures, and provided with all associated power and lighting requirements. In addition to the pre-fabricated structures, a decorative brick and stone masonry wall shall be erected across the back of the entrance enclosure to match that of the front while providing additional security along internal roadways. Construct Badge and Pass Office: The project shall provide an efficient, well-designed masonry "Badge and Pass" office building with a stone base and brick veneer exterior and an adjacent exterior waiting area (Bus Shelter) and pre-fabricated elevated Guard Booth with ballistic level IV protection. The three buildings shall match the context of existing surrounding buildings. In addition, a sign shall be erected to well define the Main Entrance of NSGA Sugar Grove. The Sign shall provide a matching stone base and both internally lit, fixed signage as well as LED announcement signage. The approximate solicitation release date is 30 June 2005. The solicitation will be available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view the PDF files, can be downloaded from the Adobe website. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitation Website. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990 and the size standard is $12 million dollars. This solicitation is 8(a) competitive set-aside for the West Virginia SBA District and Richmond, Virginia SBA Districts only. ALL CONTRACTORS WILL BE NOTIFIED THAT THEY MUST HAVE A WEST VIRGINIA BUSINESS LICENSE AND THAT THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY SITE VISIT. THE SITE VISIT IS TENTATIVELY 12 JULY 2005. BECAUSE OF THE REMOTENESS OF THE FACILITY, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL INTERESTED PARTIES VISIT THE SITE. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION, bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database on the part of the bidder will make a bidder ineligible for award.
