- FISC, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Maritime Industrial Branch intends to contract for the design, fabrication and delivery of a stainless steel lined, portable, clean room enclosure. The interior dimensions shall be 32 ft. long by 34 ft. wide and approx. 60 ft high. The enclosure shall include a 15 ft. high crane alcove that adds 11 ft. to the top section length and extends the full width. Basic construction shall consist of stainless steel interior walls, alcove floor and ceiling with an exterior insulated insulated steel panel skin. Structural beams, columns and associated stiffeners shall be of painted carbon steel. The enclosure shall be electrically outfitted. The clean room shall be built in two sections. The contractor shall perform fabrication at the contractors site and deliver by barge via the waterways to NNSY. This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 332311 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with the Commercial Test Program. Award to be FOB Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000 (via barge). The solicitation is anticipated to be released 15 July 2005 .Quote closing date will be established in the solicitation. Request for the solicitation, N00181-05-Q-E014 will be accepted via mail addressed to : Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Maritime Industrial Branch, Attn: Code 532.4D/Ronda Rothermel, Bldg. 1500, 2nd Floor, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000 or via e-mail addressed to : rothermelrj@nnsy.navy.mil.
