Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking bids for a project to Remodel Endoscopy, Neurology, & Pulmonary Areas within the VAMC, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY. Project will provide all labor, material, equipment, and expert supervision necessary to remodel the specified areas in Bldg 1. Project will include Phases 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, and 2B so as to allow maximum use of existing spaces during construction. Project will include demolition, asbestos abatement, general construction, alterations, structural, remodeling, equipment replacement, architectural, roofing, plumbing, medical gas and vacuum piping & equipment, HVAC, electrical and related work. All work to be completed including final clean-up within 555 calendar days for bid item I, 520 calendar days for Bid Item II, and 480 calendar days for Bid Item III. Each bid item is detailed in the specifications. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 233320 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. This solicitation is offered for full and open competition. Range for this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation Packages are expected to be available on or about July 8, 2005. Requests for Solicitation Package shall be forwarded to Victoria S Caudill, Contracting officer (90C), VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206-1499. Solicitation packages are available at a cost of $150.00 per set, non-refundable. Pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 20, 2005 @ 10:00AM local time at the VAMC, 800 Zorn Avenue, Bldg 4 (engineering Conference room), Louisville, KY. Public bid opening is scheduled for August 9, 2005, @2:00PM local time at the same location. All bidders must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide both 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds. Contract will be awarded SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
