Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a need for gold coverage maintenance for IBM RS6000 mini computer systems. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations, Subpart 12.6 and the procedures in part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. All responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. This acquisition is set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 541513. Small Business size standard is 500 employees. REQUIREMENT: The Social Security Administration (SSA) will pursue acquiring maintenance for ten (10) IBM RS6000/6H1/660 mini computer systems, S/Ns: 10D95BF, 10D95CF, 10D95DF, 10D95FF, 10D96BF, 10D96CF, 10D7F2F, 10D296F, 10CC2AF, and 10D7DBF; four (4) IBM RS6000/F50 mini computer systems, S/Ns: 1018432, 1018433, 1018434, 1033372; nine (9) IBM RS6000/H50 mini computer systems ? 1 way 332 MHz processor, S/Ns: 10BDC8D, 10BDCFD, 100BDCDD, 10BDDBD, 10BB61D, 10C377D, 10C378D, 10BB56D, and 10C379D; five (5) IBM RS6000/H50 mini computer systems ? 2 way 332 MHz processor S/Ns: 10BB57D, 10BB59D, 10BB54D, 10BDD4D, and 10BDCAD; two (2) IBM RS6000/E30/7024 mini computer systems S/Ns: 09069 and 10083Q4; two (2) IBM RS6000/43P/140 mini computer systems, S/Ns: 10C6C3D and 105021F; six (6) IBM RS6000/44P/270 mini computer systems. S/Ns: 10D760F, 10D75CF, 10D75DF, 10D75FF, 10D75BF, and 10D75AF; one (1) IBM RS6000SP/209/9076 mini computer system S/N: 82229, twenty-four (24) color monitors, twenty-four (24) AIX system backup and recovery software, one (1) H50 AIX system backup and recovery software running on S/N10C379D; two (2) H50 AIX system backup and recovery software running on S/Ns: 10C377D and 10C378D; six (6) SNA communication server for AIX software. Vendor is required on-site at headquarters and various DDS sites. Type of maintenance needed is gold coverage. The Period of Performance is 09/29/05 ? 09/28/06. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the following additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition: (b)(14), (b)(15), (b)(16), (b)(17), (b)(18), (b)(19), (b)(20), (b)(23), (b) (25), (b)(26), and (b)(32). INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS: The following provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors, Commercial Items, (tailored) apply to this acquisition: (b) (1), (3), (4), (6), (7), (8), (11), (c), (f), (g), and (j). The Government will award a firm-fixed price purchase order. All quotations shall contain the following: 1) Price quotation 2) Name and serial number of items quoted. 3) DUNS Number. 4) Completed Certs & Reps. 5) Contractor employee(s) performing on-site at SSA facilities must meet the Agency?s security clearance. They must complete some or all the listed security forms: FD-258, Fingerprint Charts; GSA-176, Statement of Personal History; Optional Form 306, Declaration for Federal Employment; Fair Credit Reporting Act authorization form; and a legible photocopy of the work authorization permit and social security card for a NON-US citizen. EVALUATION: The provisions at FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Quoters must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the ORCA website at http://orca.bpn.gov. After reviewing the ORCA database information, the quoter verifies by submission of this quotation that the representations and certifications currently posted electronically at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, have been entered or updated in the last 12 months, are current, accurate, complete, and applicable to this solicitation (including the business size standard applicable to the NAICS codes referenced for this solicitation), as of the date of this quotation and are incorporated in this quotation by reference (see FAR 4.1201), If an offeror has not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at the ORCA website, the offeror shall complete only paragraphs (b) through (i) of this provision.
