- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in support of PMW 180 intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the METMF(R) NEXGEN program. METMF(R) NEXGEN is described in the attached draft Statement of Work. This requirement has been initiated to design, fabricate, integrate, deliver and evaluate two prototype METMF(R) NEXGEN systems that will support a Milestone C Decision for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and Full Rate Production (FRP). The METMF(R) NEXGEN will replace the legacy METMF(R) using current and emerging state-of-the-art technologies to offer greater capability, smaller size and increased mobility/scalability, which will significantly improve the provision of Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) support to the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF). With this announcement, the Government is soliciting industry comments on the Draft SOW. The Government requests that industry comment on all aspects of the SOW including deliverables. The Government expects to hold an information exchange day within 60 days of this announcement. The Government requests that all industry comments be submitted to Kim Mallis at kim.mallis@navy.mil in Microsoft Word 2000 or compatible format by close of business 5 July 2005.
