Description

HQ, Surface Deployment Distribution Command, Domestic Transportation Division intends to issue a solicitation (Request for Proposal (RFP)) for Department of Defense (DoD) freight transportation services of Freight All Kind (FAK) and U.S. Government s hipments of foreign military sales material. Pickup and Delivery of freight are from nine (9) origin regions to eight (8) destination regions throughout the Continental U.S. (CONUS). Work to be performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) as outlined in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on/or about 30 June 2005, and will be available for download from the Fedbizopps website (www.fedbizopps.gov) or SDDCs homepage (www.sddc.army.mil) by clicking 'Doing Business with SD DC', then clicking 'TTC II' under 'solicitations'. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued. The period of performance will be a one-year basic period and two (2) one-year options, for a total potential of three (3) years. The anticipated perfo rmance start date is 13 January 2006. The Government intends to award multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Type Contract(s) as a result of this solicitation.
