- This will be a firm fixed price contract to provide personnel, management, equipment, transportation, supply and materials and any other items and services not Government furnished to propagate and provide storage of rare native Hawaiian plants; prov ide database management services; and conduct rare plant surveys on the Island of Oahu. Services are performed at various Oahu Training Areas (Kawailoa Training Area, Kahuku Training Area, Schofield Barracks and Makua Military Reservation. The Government intends to negotiate with The University of Hawaiis Center for Conservation Research and Training for these services. The issue date for this solicitation is estimated to be on or about 19 July 2005. Response date above is estimated. Actual proposal due date will be specified in the solicitation and may be earlier or later than 25 July 2005. Period of performance is 1 Sep 05 through 31 Aug 06 with 4 pre-priced 12-month option periods. This proposed contract is being considered as a 100% set-aside for hi storically black colleges and universities (HPCUs) and minority institutions (MIs), as defined by the clause at 252.226-7000 of the Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement. Interested HBCUs and MIs should provide the contracting office as early as possible , but not later than 15 days after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the contract, and a positive statement of their eligibility as an HBCU or MI.
