- Randolph AFB intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Motorola Inc, Federal Government Market Division, 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, 3rd Floor, Columbia, MD 21046-2289, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302. The acquisition is for the installation and integration of a Central Electronics Bank (CEB) with five (5) remote consoles for Randolph Air Force Base to interface with Lackland AFB SmartZone Trunked Land Mobile Radio (TLMR) system through their Ambassador Electronic Bank. This will meet the plan to implement the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) mandate requiring all Federal operating agencies using wideband LMR frequency assignments, within the United States and its possessions to migrate to narrowband operations by 1 Jan 2005-2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, and no solicitation exists. The determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. This procurement will be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All inquiries/responses to this notice must be received not later than 1:00 P. M. (CST), 20 Jun 05.
