- UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries intends to negotiate a sole source agreement with Milestone Industries, Inc., of El Paso, TX for eight (8) 15? Manual Mechanical Lifts and eight (8) Environmental Enclosure for Mechanical Lifts especially designed and built specifically for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to lift a camera 15 feet above the standard truck bed and to maintain the compatibility and continuity in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection scope trucks and for repairs and upkeep. These lifts were built with the user in mind for ease of use, low maintenance, and easy to repair. Additionally, it facilitates the repair process by eliminating long down times and having to ship the vehicles long distance. This is not a request for proposals. Milestone Industries, Inc., is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required equipment. A justification for other than full and open competition is on file. No solicitation documents are available and requests for such will not be acknowledged. The determination not to open competition is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone inquires will be accepted. It is anticipated that a sole source purchase order will be awarded as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Par 13. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Closing date is June 17, 2005.
