Description
The tool or system CDC acquires must be able to provide these minimum requirements: 1. The tool must be designed for the unique field of graphic arts trade. 2. The system must be delivered to CDC within 10 days of purchase; needed July, 2005. 3. Because of CDC staff in widespread locations, the tool must be web-based and able to reside on a SQL server. 4. The system must support both PCs and MACs since graphics personnel use both. 5. The tool must integrate with existing production tools such as Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop. 6. The tool must be able to support Quark and In-Design for PCs and MACs, including full-size visual previews of Quark and In-Design files. 7. CDC customers must be able to submit orders and monitor their project status and costs through web access to this tool. 8. The tool must encompass job status and financial management data. 9. All data on the system must be accessible by production staff, DCS management, and Center clients. 10. The tool must be able to handle unlimited CDC customer users, 75 simultaneous production staff users, and 25 simultaneous manager users. 11. The tool must be able to catalog and capture digital files located across multiple locations and on multiple platforms. 12. The tool must be able to associate digital products with jobs and projects in an intuitive and efficient manner, and view alongside job order information. 13. The tool must capture, manage and view 250 employees? time and materials usage. 14. The tool must enable the manager to create job orders, and develop estimates and quotations, assign work, track staff activity, costing and job status. 15. The tool must be able to create job schedules, monitor work loads, and track deadlines. 16. The tool should be user definable to CDC?s own specific needs, and managed by CDC staff. 17. The reporting capability of the tool must encompass job status, activity reports, cost analysis, and generation of unique ad hoc reports as well as invoices. 18. The tool must enable DCS to archive production and project data. 19. The tool must interface with a digital archive of products (presentations, publications) making them easily accessible to staff. 20. The tool must be able to calculate costs, and bill completed or partially completed jobs. 21. The tool must be able to generate routine and special reports. 22. The vendor must be able to provide software assurance and support for at least one year. 23. The vendor must be able to provide 5 days of training for CDC staff.
