Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as 100% Total Small Business Set- Aside. This solicitation number 401815Q094 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This Specification is for the delivery and Stock pile of 5825 tons of Limestone Gravel 3"x5" base rock. Material must meet Florida Department of Transportation Specification. NAICS Code: 484220, Size Standard: 21, 500,000. Materials must be delivered to Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, Immokalee Florida. A firm fixed price commercial order will be issued. Anticipated award date will be on or about 06/24/2005. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-4, effective on June 8, 2005. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-- Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation and the Offeror must include a completed copy of this provision with their proposal. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. A Variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has be caused by conditions of loading, shipping, or packing, or allowances in manufacturing processes, and then only to the exted, if any specified in paragraph below. The permissible variation shall be limited to: 10 percent increase 10 percent decrease The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. All contractors with access to the internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award. CAUTION: This combined synopsis/solicitation has been issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Thus, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for proposal receipts may render your offer non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Delivery dates and points on the refuge will be coordinated with the refuge manager.
