- McChord AFB, Washington has a competitive HUBZone requirement for the installation of an outdoor covered storage area at the Flight Line Support, Building 1180, at McChord AFB, Washington. The work covered in this synopsis consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials for the installation of an outdoor covered storage area at Flight Line Support, Building 1180, at McChord AFB, Washington. The following items are a brief summary of the project and are provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved. The Contractor is responsible for accomplishing all items of work in accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications and provisions of the contract. Any sundry labor, materials, equipment and/or appurtenances not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of the scope of work hereinafter specified. Work to consist of construction of a steel frame covered storage area to protect large aircraft parts. Structure to have standing seam metal roof with fire protection system and lights. Period of performance is 180 calendar days. The price range for this project is between $250,000 and $1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification code (SIC) has been replaced by the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS). The NAICS codes for this procurement are 236220, 236210, and 237990, which is matched to SIC code 1541. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals, with a fixed-price contract being awarded as a result of this procurement. Award will be made on the basis of low offer - past performance. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its average annual gross receipts are $28.5 million or less. This announcement is set aside for competitive HUB Zone. The subcontracting goals for McChord AFB which will be considered in the negotiation of this contract are: At least 70% of planned subcontracting dollars intended subcontract amount be placed with Small Businesses (SB). At least 20% of planned subcontracting dollars intended subcontract amount be placed with veteran-owned small business.
