Description
Sources sought synopsis Description: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The 319TH Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB (GFAFB), ND is conducting market research to determine the existence of HUBZone certified companies that perform Munitions Maintenance services. It is anticipated the period of performance of the resultant contract will be a basic period (1 April 06 to 31 Mar 07) with four option periods (one year each). This is based on the most current information available to date. Updated information will be posted electronically on FedBizOps at www.eps.gov as it becomes available. The general scope of this requirement is to provide service at Grand Forks Air Force Base (GFAFB), North Dakota munitions storage facility. Contractor tasks include, but are not limited to the following: shipping, receiving, storage, periodic/special inspections, issuing, processing turn-ins, accountability, forecasting/allocation management, inventory stock control, and Ammunition Disposition Request (ADR). Non-munitions related tasks include: document control, facility management/housekeeping, resource protection, custody account management, munitions residue processing, research and identification of munitions supplies and equipment. Types munitions covered under this contract include but are not limited to: aircraft fire extinguisher carts, survival kit munitions, base defense munitions, mobility munitions, exercise and evaluation munitions, and live and inert training munitions. The government furnishes buildings, special purpose vehicles, specialized and general equipment, furniture and some supplies. The contractor is responsible for all other resources not identified as government furnished necessary to perform the services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561990, Munitions Maintenance Services as a commercial activity, with a size standard of $6,000,000.
