Description
This is a request for information (RFI) only, not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Headquarters Operations and Sustainment Systems Group (OSSG) is conducting market research to obtain readily available information to meet the recurring and possible future needs of the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Coast Guard, and Intelligence community for Information Assurance (IA) software tools at the lowest overall cost. The Air Force is the DoD Executive Agent for establishing Enterprise Software Agreements (ESAs) in the commercial software category of IA for the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative Enterprise (ESI). For more information on DoD ESI, please see the DoD ESI website at http://www.esi.mil. IA software performs a variety of security related functions to detect and correct vulnerabilities and institute layered defenses against non-authorized penetrations of information systems and networks. IA software includes, but is not limited to the following subcategories: AntiVirus, Firewall, Vulnerability Assessment, Intrusion Detection System, Integrated Security Management, and Virtual Private Network. Applicable standards for compliance include but are not limited to the National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security Policy (NSTISSP) No. 11, Subject: National Policy Governing the Acquisition of Information Assurance (IA) and IA-Enabled Information Technology (IT) Products. These products should facilitate the availability of the systems; ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information, and the authentication and non-repudiation of parties in electronic transactions. In addition to meeting DoD requirements, awarded ESAs may be adopted for Federal-wide acquisition as SmartBUY agreements. The General Services Administration (GSA) is the designated Executive Agent for SmartBUY, and will work cooperatively with the DoD ESI on any ESAs that may be adopted as SmartBUY agreements. Only IA software publishers should respond to this RFI. These IA software publishers should have GSA multiple-award schedule contracts or business agreements with qualified resellers with GSA schedule contracts. In response to this RFI, please provide to OSSG the key products, technical characteristics, applicable certifications and/or standards, prices and numbers of licenses under maintenance within the DoD, U.S. Coast Guard, and the Intelligence community. Responses should also include the corresponding amount of recent, current and projected revenues, and identify agency/customer points of contact. All information you provide will be treated as business-sensitive, "For Official Use Only." Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, CAGE Code, size of business pursuant to North America Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 511210 and indicate whether your firm is a large business, small business, very small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business or service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Please provide your response at your earliest opportunity by email to OSSG.KABS.ESI.SPM@Gunter.AF.Mil. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received by the close date of the announcement. To ensure consideration, please include "IA RFI Response" in the subject of your email responses. Responses may also be mailed to HQ OSSG/KABS, Attn: Information Assurance RFI, 501 East Moore Drive, Room 1400F (Building 884), Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, AL 36114-3000. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. All firms responding to this RFI are advised that their response is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Response to this RFI is NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of a solicitation. The Air Force will not pay for any information, documentation, data submitted and/or any costs associated with generating a response to this RFI.
