The dosimeter has to and provides a sample reading for the Action Level integrating all sound levels from 90 dBA to at least 140 dBA and a sample reading for the Permissible Exposure Level integrating all sound levels from 80 dBA to at least 130 dBA. The Action level value is used to determine if a miner is required to be enrolled in a Hearing Conservation Program. The following specifications are needed: Provide an Action Level sample integrating all sound levels from 90 dBA to at least 140 dBA. Provide a Permissible Exposure Level integrating all sound levels from 80 dBA to at least 130 dBA. Measure noise using the ?A? scale, slow response, and with a 5 dB exchange rate. Capability to use as a Sound Level Meter. Simple menu driven setup. Preprogrammed setups. Recalculated exposure data Light weight 14 ounces or less. Small size Keyboard combination lock.
