Description
MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION IS SEEKING VENDORS THAT CAN SUPPLY THE REQUESTED AIR SAMPLING PUMP DESCRIBED BELOW. Air Sampling Pumps The following specifications are needed: Built-in fluid/particulate trap Built-in rotameter with 250-ml division; scale marked at 1,2,3,4, and 5 L/min. External see-through filter housing Tamper-resistant control cover Tamper-resistant compensation adjustments Built-in accessory mount Stainless steel belt clip External exhaust port All non-plastic parts made of corrosion-resistant materials RFI- and EMI-shielded case Intrinsically safety to the ATEX directive, UL Listed for: Class I, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Groups E, F, G; and Class III. Temperature Code T3C Operating Range: 5 to 5000 ml/min (UL Listed model) (5 to 500 ml/min requires the 224-26 Series Adjustable Low Flow Holder) 5 to 3000 ml/min (MSHA approved model The sampling pump must comes in a 5-pack pump kit with NiCad batteries, screwdriver sets, filter cassette holders, low flow holders with type A tube cover, exhaust port fittings, one 5-station Multi-Charger (115/230V), and carry case. Air Sampling Pumps The following specifications are needed for an air sampling pump to be used for industrial hygiene and occupational health sampling: Must be small, lightweight, and ultra?quiet (weight 22 ounce or less) Simple to operate (three-button keypad) Intrinsic safe, UL/cUL Must have built-in sensors which automatically maintain flow calibration by compensating for differences in temperature and atmospheric pressure during sampling Rugged impact-resistant RFI/EMI-shielded case with removable battery pack Auto shut-off with low battery or restricted flow. Adjustable flow fault shutdown from 5 seconds to 4 minutes Auto-restart from flow fault attempted every 5 minutes for a maximum of 10 times The sampling pump must comes in a programmable 5-Pack Pump Kit (High and Low Flow Sampling) with NiCad battery, filter cassette holders, adjustable low flow holders, constant pressure controllers, protective type A tube covers, one 5-station Multi-Charger (115/230V), and carry case. 5-Station Battery Charger The following specifications are needed: Small, lightweight and portable (weight 1.1 lbs or less) Must accept Nickel-Cadmium (NiCad) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries Must be able to charge other air sampling pumps Continuously monitors charging voltage and automatically switches to trickle mode when pump is fully charged Must use advanced technique so batteries never enter damaging negative delta V region The charger must include a power supply and wall adapter. There is no specification for the Ultraflow calibrator. It must come with NiCad battery, 115V charger, soap film solution, and user manual.
