- The purpose of this contract is to provide for the reconstruction of a total of 11.7 miles of single lane road including blading, culvert installation, log bridge construction, end haul, debris removal, brush removal, ditching, cleaning catch basins, and hazard tree removal. The project also includes demolition and removal of an 80 ft. x 80 ft. log structure located at Portage Bay. The project area is located on the Portage Bay road system on Kupreanof Island in Southeast Alaska. Access to Portage Bay is either by boat, plane, or helicopter. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about June 30, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-05-0004. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest.
