- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Code 4.5.8 at St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for the procurement of 10 each Radio Mounts ABP-RM-1, 10 each Radio Power Supplies ABP-AC/DC/BT-TR-1, and 10 each Radio Data Kits ABP-DATA-TR-1. The government intends to procure these components on a sole source basis from Automated Business Power (ABP), 7611-J Rickenbacker Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. Only ABP is uniquely qualified to provide the required power supplies and mounts that have both AC/DC power input and battery backup in a single unit. Also, it is the only manufacturer that supplies power supplies that allow access to the remote data port while the power supply is attached. Due to safety of flight issues, these are required. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 3334220 with a size standard of 750 people. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses received by 3:30 PM EST on 20 June 2005 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether it will initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
