Description

The Geospatial Information Office of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for consolidated Information Technology support services. Services to be provided consist primarily of program management; call center support; end user technical support; but also contains requirements for rapid response support; inventory and asset management support; configuration management support; IT security support; and capital planning support. Call Center Support Services will be conducted from a USGS facility in Denver, Colorado, with options for Reston, VA and/or Menlo Park, CA. Call Center Support services may be required for the Department of the Interior and any of its Bureaus. End User Technical Support Services may be required in Denver, Colorado, Reston, Virginia, and/or Menlo Park, CA. The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 with four 1-year option periods. Solicitation No. 06HQSS0001 is only available electronically and will be posted on Electronic Commerce on or about July 1, 2005. Once issued, the solicitation may be viewed on the Department of the Interior Business Opportunities Web Page at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation and/or amendments will be distributed. All vendors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation and any subsequent amendments from the previously stated website. Vendors are encouraged to notify the Contracting Officer of their intent to propose on this acquisition. This acquisition is being conducted as a competitive 8(a) requirement. Only 8(a) vendors will be considered for award.
