- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Immunization Program (NIP) is soliciting proposals for the award of multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts for the purchase of the following standard commercial vaccine manufactured under a current establishment and product license issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: Tetanus Toxoid, Diphtheria Toxoid and acellular Pertussis combination vaccine (booster dose for age adolescent and older). Contract award under this solicitation notice is contingent on evidence of a recommendation by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) that Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids with acellular Pertussis vaccine be covered under the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. The ACIP is expected to vote on inclusion of this vaccine at their June 2005 meeting. The vaccine(s) awarded under these contract(s) will be purchased by NIP?s 64 immunization grantees (the fifty state health departments, several large city programs and current and former U.S. Territories) as provided under Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) of 1993 and Section 317(j) of the Public Health Service Act. Grantees may also purchase these vaccines using their own state funds. Vaccine will be ordered through NIP?s electronic VACMAN ordering system. Maximum estimated quantities, minimum order sizes, shelf life requirements and applicable price restrictions will be listed in the solicitation. Vaccines shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to the fifty (50) states and U.S. territories. Contracts will be for approximately eight (8) months period beginning on or about August 1, 2005. Offerors must provide evidence of a current FDA establishment license and evidence of current FDA product licenses for all proposed products and must meet the definition of a manufacturer as stipulated by OBRA 1993. Solicitation 2005-N-02089 will be posted online at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about June 28, 2005. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.
