- NOUN: AIR CONDITIONER, NSN: 4120-01-449-0459. A draft RFP will be posted for the Field Deployable Environmental Control Unit (FDECU). Request all interested sources review the draft RFP carefully and provide any questions, concerns or recommendations to the Point of Contact (POC). If the response date does not allow adequate time for a thorough evaluation as well as submission of your feedback, please advise the POC. The FDECU acquisition team will review all input received from interested sources carefully for possible incorporation into the final RFP. The requirement is for a long term five (5) year contract. The FDECU is an electric-motor driven, vapor cycle, skid-mounted air conditioner. It has a cooling capacity of 60,000BTU/hr. The unit can be adapted for use in a Nuclear-Biological-Chemical environment. The FDECU weights approximately 700lbs and measures 32” H X 42” W X 52” L.
