- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a motorized system for automated measurement of IR pixel array. System requirements: (1) Mitutoyo FS-70L-S microscope modified for 200nm to 1900nm/Cat. #: 378-186-2, QTY. 1 (2) Manual turret, centerable & parfocal/Cat. #: 378-018, QTY. 1 (3) Heavy duty stand for FS-70 with 6" x 6" stage movement/Cat. #: CD-NWLS, QTY. 1 (4) Fiber optic illuminator/Cat. #: CD-FOI, QTY. 1 (5) 10x WF eyepieces/Cat. #: 378-856, QTY. 1 (6) 10x objective wd=34mm/Cat. #: 378-803-2, QTY. 1 (7) LCD NIR 50x SL objective wd=17mm, f. 1mm window/Cat.#: 378-828-5, QTY. 1 (8) Focus drive motor ass'y & adapter sleeve/Cat. #: 500-H22-S, QTY. 1 (10) Heavy duty high resolution, motorized translation stage for X, Y translation of microscope 4" x 4" w. adapter/Cat.#: 500HT1111-FMA, QTY. 1 (11) Controller for stage and focus driver, w. autofocus/Cat. #: 500H29XYA, QTY. 1 (12) Joystick X<Y controller w. Digipot f, focus/Cat. #: 500CS152EF, QTY. 1 (13) RS 232 Cable/Cat. #: 550H276K, QTY. 1 (14) Optical probing head for projection on individual pixels/Cat. #: CD-OPH-P, QTY 1. (15) M Plan UV objective 20x wd=15mm/Cat. #: 378-837-5 NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from CREATIVE DEVICES, INC., Neshanic Sta. NJ. CREATIVE DEVICES, INC., is the only vendor who meets all of our requirements. The Authority is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, but quotes timely received by the response date will be considered. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to TALAYA BROOKS, via email or fax (301-286-9159), no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 22, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
