Description
The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), in support of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, Military Community and Family Policy, is developing a full and open competitive acquisition strategy for the long-term Military OneSource requirement. This contract is intended to have a period of performance of at least 5 years. The Military OneSource Program provides Employee Assistance Services (EAS) through the Internet, telephone, and e-mail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to approximately 3 million members of the Armed Forces and their families at locations worldwide. EAS involves interacting with the active and reserve members military and their families, furnishing referrals to a broad array of resources, information, and services through a call center or on-line (www.militaryonesource.com) service. The scope of the effort will include but may not be limited to, fielding calls and/or providing counseling to provide assistance on issues such as non-medical health, substance abuse, emotional well-being including suicide, wellness, disability, limited legal, financial, elder care, parenting and child care, education services, relocation, Tri-Care, and general every day issues that the 2.77 million uniformed Military personnel and their dependents encounter while serving and supporting our country. PEO STRI intends on conducting an Industry Day for the Military OneSource project on 23 June 2005 in Orlando, Florida. Please note that Industry Day participants are limited to two (2) people per company. One-on-one meetings not to exceed 2 hours will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis immediately following conclusion of the Industry Day. The one-on-one meetings will commence on 23 June and continue through 24 June, as needed. Location for Industry Day will be the Bishop Conference Room, AFAMS Facility, Technology Drive, Orlando, FL. If you?re interested in attending the Industry Day, please send an email to linda.yeakle@us.army.mil by 17 June 2005 containing the following information: (1) company name, (2) names of participants attending from your company (limited to two people per company), (3) email addresses of participants, (4) telephone numbers of participants, (5) intent on requesting a one-on-one meeting with the Government, and (6) a written synopsis not to exceed 5 pages addressing your company?s capabilities and experience in providing the similar services of this magnitude. Additionally, request the synopsis include the company?s capability to operate in a U.S. Government cost-type contract environment using an approved cost accounting system, to include fixed, incentive, and award fees (see FAR 16.3).
