- The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to obtain customs clearance of import and export freight at the specified airports domestic in Japan and transporting said freight between the airport and U.S. Government installations and coordinating carrier booking and acceptance of export freight in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract and applicable Japanese Laws and trade practices (Airports: New Tokyo International Airport, Narita; Central Japan International Airport, Nagoya; Kansai International Airport; Fukuoka International Airport). The period of performance is anticipated to be fore a one-year basic period with four (4) one-year options, for five (5) years. The anticipated performance start date is 1 Aug 05 at the earliest. Offerors will propose a rate for transportation and customs clearance services. This service includes but is not limited to obtain customs clearance of import and export freight and transporting said freight between the airport and U.S. Government installations and coordinating carrier booking and acceptance of export freight as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Award will be made to the offeror whose offer represents the best value to the U.S. Government considering the evaluation factors stated in the solicitation. The solicitation is not restricted. The solicitation will be available on this web site and will be issued to all firms who respond in writing to this synopsis.
