Description

The 50th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for: The Predator 7000, Advanced Entry Control System (AECS) with spare equipment and parts to Diebold Incorporated, 5995 Mayfair Road, Canton, OH 44707-8077. This equipment will be used to update the base security control system. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because the Predator 7000 (AECS) being installed is proprietary to Diebold Inc. Diebold manufactures the requested list of spare parts and equipment for their AECS security equipment. No other security system could be identified that could be adapted to the base's existing security control system. The items supplied by Diebold are the only items that have full compatibility.
