Description
NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal for the award of multiple Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the electrical construction, modification, repair and rehabilitation of facilities at the Johnson Space Center (JSC), Ellington Field and Sonny Carter Training Facility, under which JSC may issue fixed price delivery orders, each with a potential maximum value of $49M. Each contract will be awarded with a minimum contract value of $10,000 and a maximum contract value not-to-exceed $49,000,000 over a five-year period. However, the total amount of all delivery orders under all contracts awarded under solicitation number NNJ05096345R shall not exceed $49,000,000. Electrical projects will be selected by the Government during this period for limited competition among the firms that have been awarded an IDIQ contract. This procurement will be awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and award of the contracts will be based on the use of NASA Best Value Selection Procedures (See Subpart 15.1 Source Selection Processes and Techniques). The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238210 and $12,000,000, respectively. The first delivery order for this contract will be for the installation of a 2500 KW load bank. This load bank will be installed at Building 222’s test facility on site at Johnson Space Center (JSC). The order of magnitude for this delivery order is Between $25,000 and $100,000 and the effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about March 15, 2005 with an anticipated propoal closing date of on or about April 15, 2005. The firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. Specifications and drawings may be purchased from Ridgway's Limited, 5711 Hillcroft, Houston, TX 77036. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
